How to Play
- Put each slip of paper with your weekly spelling word list printed on it into a bowl.
- Assemble pupils into two groups at the basket.
- Taking a paper slip out of the bowl, the student in front of line 1 will read the word aloud.
- The next task is for the kid in front of the other line to spell that word aloud. Before going to the back of the line, athletes have the opportunity to shoot a basket to score a point for their team if they correctly guess the word. They advance to the back of the line without trying if they are wrong.
- The word bowl is passed back and forth between the teams during play until you run out of spelling words.
- In basketball, the team with the most baskets made wins!
